What Can Be Done To Stop Anxiety Attacks
In the United States alone, millions of people struggle with anxiety attacks. Unfortunately, these attacks often come on suddenly regardless of location. If you have anxiety attacks, then you know all too well that in addition to messing with your mind, these attacks are also physically difficult.
People with this problem cannot get through school, most people struggle at work, and trying to maintain a family is overwhelming. Instead of suffering, you need to talk to your doctor to see what can be done to stop anxiety attacks form occuring and so you can get the attacks under control.
Along with the anxiety attack, other physical problems often arise such as horrible headache, stomachache, chest pain, overwhelming worry, irritation, and the list goes on. However, by working with your doctor, you can get help. Your doctor would first conduct a number of tests to determine if anything else is going on or if the anxiety attacks are the single problem.
Over the past several years, significant research has been conducted to identify triggers for anxiety attacks. Some experts believe the problem is inherited, some feel anxiety could be manifested from post traumatic stress disorder, and then others believe that abnormal chemistry in the brain is the culprit.
While different experts have different opinions, the one thing most believe is that there is an inherited link. We know that within the brain, signals are transmitted via neurotransmitters. However, when chemicals are not in proper balance within the neurotransmitters, messages become scrambled or lost. With that, an anxiety attack is likely.
People that are going through a tough divorce, recently lost someone they love to death, or even face a loved one going off to war typically experience a greater occurrence of anxiety attacks.
If you currently deal with anxiety attacks, you probably have several symptoms such as headache, stomachache, etc. In fact, many people have such horrific symptoms, especially shortness of breath and chest pains that they rush to the hospital believing they are having a heart attack only to discover the problem is an anxiety attack.
Since these attacks can make even the simplest responsibility in life seem impossible, you certainly do not want to struggle through life feeling out of control. Instead, you can get proper treatment and regain control of your life, making it enjoyable and successful.
